Planning a wedding is no easy feat. Planning a wedding during a pandemic with ever changing regulations and precautions makes that even harder. Jamie and Derek had to change their wedding date not once, not twice, but three times. Despite the hurdles they were finally married at the beautiful Historic Ashland with the help of their family and amazing vendor team.
Some of Jamie’s family members were unable to make it for the wedding, which was devastating. In times like these, we are so thankful for technology! They were able to FaceTime them throughout the day from the prep time through the party dancing. Jamie was able to FaceTime her mom once she got into her dress to see her gorgeous train and bustle. All of her bridesmaids stood in the background and wiped away tears. When the big moment finally came, Jamie joyfully walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her dad. She waived to her mom and sister who were FaceTiming on the phone as she rounded the corner to meet Derek down the aisle.
Her step-dad Rob met them at the front of the aisle and officiated their beautiful outdoor ceremony under the arbor of greens and pampas grass. Friends and family sat under the gorgeous tree line that hugged the creek as they witnessed Jamie and Derek’s exchange their vows. When the official “Mr. & Mrs” was announced, they were met with a roaring crowd and a tear filled audience. They did it! Now, it’s time to celebrate!
Entering Historic Ashland’s reception space you felt the anticipation of the party that was about to unfold. The live band was just the right feel and energy for Jamie and Derek’s celebration. There was so much excitement! The grand entrances were wild and silly. The speeches had their friends in stitches. When the dance floor opened, even grandma was out there as the life of the party. After some trials and set backs, Jamie and Derek deserved to dance the night away surrounded by everyone who supported and loved them along the way. Congratulations you two! I pray that your marriage is wonderful and you have a life full of happiness together.
