This engagement has been a long time coming! If you know Lauren and Isaac, can I get an “Amen!”? Lauren and Isaac have been together for 10 years. They first met in high school but didn’t start dating until they went to school at Penn State.
Lauren and I used to work together. I would always hear about her wonderful boyfriend, Isaac. Isaac and I met at a few Christmas parties but didn’t have the opportunity to interact beyond that. When we met up for their engagement session in front of the Merchant’s Exchange building, I got just a glimpse of what she meant. Lauren and Isaac greeted us with their bright smiles and sweet demeanors. It didn’t take long interacting with Isaac during their session and navigating around Philly to confirm all the good things that Lauren had raved about. He was so friendly, intelligent, kind and so easy going. I would use the same exact descriptors for Lauren too. It was nice to know her other half held those qualities too. I know she’s in good hands.
I loved watching their interactions together. When they cuddled up during different poses and looked into each others eyes it was just so natural. That natural relationship developed from ten years of friendship, memories, life changes and falling in love.
Ten years together accumulated on one ordinary yet extra ordinary evening this past January, just after the holidays. Isaac made a nice dinner in their apartment with champagne and dessert. Then the big moment arrived and Isaac got down on one knee. Lauren was surprised with a gorgeous solitaire diamond and the promise of a loving marriage together.
Fast forward to their engagement session in Olde City, Philadelphia. The perfect backdrop for these Central PA folks who started their new life in the city together. The architecture of Olde City is just stunning and the Waterworks Park near the Art Museum was beautiful on the water at sunset.
If there was anything I would change about their session, it would be an opportunity to spend more time with these two. They are fun and so easy to talk to. You are truly perfect for one another and I CANNOT WAIT to photograph your wedding next year at the Stone Barn in Selinsgrove!!! Love you Lauren! Can’t wait for that rain check for dinner!
