Thomas wanted this Christmas season to be just as special and romantic as the classic Christmas songs echo. He was ready to propose to his girlfriend Paige and what a better day than Christmas Eve?

Just a few weeks prior, they had looked at engagement rings. He tried to convince her that a proposal wouldn’t be coming until a much later time. Meanwhile, he was crafting a special plan that would play out much sooner than he let on. He planned out a scavenger hunt for Paige to complete to find her “Christmas present”. Which was true but had something more attached to it.

Their first destination was Starbucks. It was where they had their first date and was a favorite spot for them. He called ahead and asked the barista to write the first clue on Paige’s cup. That clue took them to a small park that led them to the final destination, Levitz Memorial Park.

Thomas’ mom met us at the park to plant the gift. It was pouring down rain and 100% chance the entire day. We trekked up a steep hill to a row of pine trees where Thomas wanted to pop the question. He wrapped the gift in a waterproof hiking bag with a cute red bow on top. Once Thomas and Paige were close we got in place and tried to act casual. It’s hard to act like you are casually walking at the park on Christmas Eve in the pouring rain.

Paige and Thomas made their way to the spot and everyone’s heart started beating louder and louder. He started off with a speech telling her how special she was to him. Then she opened the waterproof bag to reveal a coffee thermos. It wasn’t just a coffee thermos but it had her new initials inscribed on it with the date. When she realized what the new initials meant, Thomas got down on one knee and he asked her to be his wife. She responded with a joyful “yes” and lots of hugs.

Another thoughtful detail inscribed on the coffee thermos was the longitude and latitude. It was the same spot that Tommy asked Paige to be his girlfriend, so what a better location to ask her to be his wife?

Congratulations Thomas and Paige!! You had such a special Christmas Eve Proposal. Thank you for asking us to be a part of it! Your next adventure awaits as you plan your life together!

    So so so sweet!

  2. […] Jason and Thomas also met at that local ninja gym. Jason loves being active and started getting into the Ninja Warrior tournaments. Him and Thomas hit it off and since then have become good friends and Thomas c0-owns his own ninja gym, Urban Playground. I specially remember when Thomas was telling Jason on the phone that he was ready to propose to Paige. I volunteered to help photograph their special day and we started planning! Just like their relationship up until this point, everything involved at the proposal was intentional and special.  You can find their rainy and romantic Christmas Eve proposal on the blog here. […]
