Meet Meghan, owner of Meghan Rose Confections. She is the queen of French Macarons and perfectly petite Swiss buttercream cakes. Her desserts truly taste as amazing as they look.
Meghan is a self taught baker who prides herself in gorgeous flavors and using only quality ingredients. She makes small batches of desserts to ensure extra care and freshness. Everything that Meghan makes is DELICIOUS. But the macarons are truly her signature treat. She was initially attracted to making them because of their perfectly delicate appearance. These flawless cookies are finicky to make but Meghan was up for the challenge. When she was first learning how to make them she had some failed batches of course, but now it’s second nature to make these delicacies.
Watching her artful process in the kitchen was fascinating. She carefully measured out all of her ingredients and made her artisan meringue. She piped each macaron half to the baking tray in a perfect pattern. It was like watching a dancer twirl in sync with the music or a painter’s brush turn and twist with each new shape. The cookies have just the right softness and chewiness. They also kiss you with just the right flavors. Meghan’s favorite macaron flavor is a tough tie between her salted caramel and snickerdoodle. If you have ever been a critic of dessert or it just isn’t “your thing”, I can bet Meghan’s desserts will change your mind.
I have had the privilege of personally enjoying Meghan’s tasty treats and getting to know her as a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and photographing some of the behind the scenes processes of her work. Her attention to detail is truly amazing.
When Meghan’s not in the kitchen baking, you can find her outside gardening or hiking. She also enjoys traveling and going on new adventures with the love of her life, Alfred.
