You know when you have a family member or a friend’s little one who attaches to you? Doesn’t it make you feel special like you did something extra cool or your personality is all of the sudden magnetic? It gives you a little confidence boost. That’s how I feel. After photographing the Thompson family again, Wynnie and I are now basically best friends. Wynnie has become one of my favorite toddlers who is rapidly b
ecoming a pre-schooler. It has become our routine after photo sessions to hunt for leaves, sticks and extra special rocks. Check out her adorable birthday session to see where this started. She definitely wanted to make time for this again after family photos. Last fall, when I photographed the Thompson family when they were a family of three with one on the way. Now Wynnie is officially a big sister and her little sister Essie looks just like her! Essie did such a great job and was so content!
I love when I get to see families again and see the babies a little older and at a different stage in life. It means a lot to me when families ask me to capture their milestones. It’s so important to make time for family photos! The kids grow up so fast! What is just as important as the kids photos is making time for husband and wife photos. I’m not a mom yet, but I know from my own siblings that the parents tend to get lost behind the scenes and don’t make time for photos of just the two of you. Your kids will treasure the photos of their parents happy and in love.
We had a beautiful fall day with the leaves at Fort Hunter Mansion at their peak vibrancy and the weather was perfectly comfortable. Thank you Thompson family. I love working with you!
