Oftentimes, you can tell when a little one knows they are deeply loved and cared for by their parents.  Duke Kelly is no exception. He is such a content and happy baby! He had a big day. Their family was out most of the day and drove a fair distance to meet for the session. The September heat felt like an August summer and it none of this even phased him. He was happy and content hanging out with his parents in the beautiful fields of Lancaster County Park.  His parents knew just how to make him laugh and he shared that contagious smile. He is so sweet.

Side note. I love his name! Duke Kelly. Doesn’t that sound like someone famous? He’ll do great things one day! Stay on the look out!

Ashley and Kyle have celebrated 5 years of marriage and were excited to be the ones in front of the camera with their new baby boy. Ashley is a photographer as well and I know it can be so hard to figure out when you will have your chance to be in front of the camera. Despite the heat, we had a beautiful night with a gorgeous golden sunset. Every photographers dream for a session, let alone their own session! The overgrown fields had a perfect blend of ripe cotton and wheat grass to give their session a beautiful fall feel. I loved capturing Ashley and Kyle’s chemistry and quiet silliness. They are in love and are madly in love with their son.

Making time to take family photos is so important! It’s bitter sweet but good to see how much the kids have grown or to look back at what milestones you’ve hit as a family since that point in time. Even if you’re a photographer like Ashley, most mom’s don’t jump in those spontaneous photos at home. It’s a special opportunity for me to photograph those genuine and cute interactions between your family.
