On a chilly February afternoon, Lily and Alex arrived at Lucky Us Farm with their family, excited to greet the alpacas and llamas they had met that morning. In preparation for the wedding, Kris and her lovely friend Amy were adorning some of the members of the fluffy herd with flower crowns and necklaces. Lily and Alex were all smiles as they escorted two white alpacas to the ceremony site.
Lily and Alex met five years ago online and hit it off. They were engaged this past September and were set on planning a stress free, relaxed wedding celebration. When researching venues in the area, Lily expanded her search from New Jersey to Central Pennsylvania. She came across Lucky Us Farm and was so excited for a unique venue to elope to.
The owner, Kris, was so accommodating. She made sure her animals were happy, safe and interacting with their guests to give them a great experience. Alex was impressed with, Conswala, the beautiful brown llama adorned with a flower crown. Lily couldn’t stop smiling and giggling as the alpacas nuzzled in during their photos.
Lily and Alex were full of joy as they read their vows and exchanged rings next to their family and new alpaca friends. I don’t think anything could have wiped the smiles off of their faces.
After the ceremony, Lily casually said something about making her dress a few days ago. What?! She took off her shaw to reveal a beaded design across her waist and a beautiful tie up the back of the dress. I had to give her a shout out for her amazing talent!
Thank you Sue for reaching out and asking me to be a part of your daughter’s sweet alpaca farm elopement. Congratulations again Lily and Alex! I wish you all the best!
