Happy Mother’s Day!! I was thinking about some of the beautiful mom’s and grandma’s that I was privileged to photograph this past year. Each family was in a different stage and season of life. From expecting mothers, new moms, mom’s with toddlers (actually a lot of those!) and loving grandmas. I’m not a momma yet, so I don’t have any profound wisdom to share with you today. I just want to say, thank you! I appreciate your selflessness and care for your family and others around you. You are incredible! Thank you for being you.
As I look through these pictures of my past families, the pictures that stuck out were the ones where mom’s hug, kiss and embrace was just what was needed in that moment. Mom’s touch brought comfort, stopped tears or brought on the genuine smile. Moms are special. There is so much I could say.
My own mom is absolutely incredible too. I was a sick baby and she roughed it out with me through thick and thin. There were moments where the doctor’s didn’t have a lot of good news or hope, but my mom did. She now knows more than she ever wanted to know about the medical field and is our go to for everything. You know how it is. She is FULL of wisdom. She is the friend that keeps it honest and the mom who coaches you through the tough stuff. She’s always thinking of us and going out of her way to make us feel loved.
Thank you mom’s and grandma’s alike. You are amazing. And I appreciate you!
