When I arrived at Wyndridge Farm, the clouds were getting dark and you could feel the moisture in the air. The weather was making everyone a little nervous but we were trying to stay positive. Throughout the week and on my drive to the venue, I prayed for the weather to be beautiful and I know many others were too. When I walked into the reception space I could hear the music bumping from the bridal suite below. Yes, the bridal suite. Not the groom’s suite. How did I know?
All the way back when I met Abby and Angelo for coffee to discuss their wedding day, they made it clear that their friends and family were really important to them. They were planning on having a large bridal party that would include their siblings and squeeze in as many besties as they could. They have friends from kindergarten, high school and college that have stood the test of time. Their loud and lively group of friends were definitely going to help make their wedding day memorable and fun.
Before being surrounded by all of their loved ones, they took a few minutes to spend some time together for a first look. As the time drew near to see one another, the clouds started to part. The sun came out, revealing the beauty of the rolling hills of Wyndridge Farm’s property. Abby and Angelo’s nerves dissipated when they saw each other. They were just full of smiles and laughter from that point on for the rest of the day. Their big day was finally here! They were finally going to get married after ten years together!
Once it was time for the ceremony, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The guests started to file in, in eager anticipation of the celebration. Angelo gleefully made his way down to the alter. A few moments later, the music changed. It was time for the bride to walk down the aisle. Abby and her dad made their appearance as they passed the tall trees opposite of the ceremony site. She was grinning ear to ear. Angelo’s smile matched hers and was accompanied by a few tears. He was overjoyed to see her.
They joined their bridal party up front and joined hands. They couldn’t stop smiling. This was the theme for the rest of their celebration. They were so excited to be there. Celebrating their marriage with one another and their favorite people. They shared their vows and first kiss as Mr. and Mrs.. It was officially, official!
Abby and Angelo walked hand in hand toward the silos and string lights on the Wyndridge patio for cocktail hour. Their friends and family could not wait to greet the couple with enthusiastic congratulations. There were so many squeals, yells and bear hugs. The same excitement lasted throughout the reception as the new Mr. and Mrs. Figueroa danced the night away.
Congratulations again Abby and Angelo! Your wedding day was absolutely beautiful!
