Jamie and Derek had a perfect night for their fall engagement session at Longwood Gardens! The weather was gorgeous and they looked amazing! I was really looking forward to seeing them for their shoot. Their wedding was supposed to be this summer and but was postponed (like most other 2020 activities). When we talked about their date changing they were really optimistic about everything. Even if they were forced to reschedule a second time they would make it work. I love their attitudes! That was a trend throughout their session too. These two were up for anything. Their personalities and demeanor were easy going and fun. They make you really comfortable just to be in their presence.

I loved watching Jamie and Derek’s interactions and chemistry. They have such a deep connection. How they met is unique and kind of funny.  They ran into each other walking to a bathroom while they were out to eat with friends. The rumor is that Derek followed Jamie when he saw her to try to talk to her. Fast forward a few years later, Derek got down on one knee in front of all of Jamie’s family on the beach and asked her to be his wife.

Longwood Gardens provided us with such a beautiful backdrop to tell part of their love story. Cascading waterfalls and fairy tail bell towers were the perfect touch for engagement photos. The trees and foliage started to turn and displayed the new fall season we are in. Longwood is different each time I visit. I loved watching how Derek’s eyes would light up when he looked toward Jamie. They made each other laugh and smile so much, they had a fun session. They are so sweet!

Their wedding is going to be so beautiful! I cannot wait to celebrate with you and your family this winter at the Cork Factory Hotel!
